Our software reduces the 75% of efforts finance teams spend manually transforming & re-keying data in spreadsheets by connecting disparate financial & operational data sources into a central version of truth. Cube reduces errors associated with manual planning and empowers cross-functional leaders to seamlessly collaborate and manage data workflow. By providing add-ons to one's spreadsheet of choice (Excel, Google Sheets), our intuitive interface eliminates the need for a lengthy / costly implementation or extensive training.The RoleCube is looking for a Python Engineer to help us expand existing functionality and build out new features optimized for fast processing times. Our product deals with a large amount of financial data and must do so quickly and efficiently to ensure the best experience for our customers. This role will largely involve building out additional features on Cube's roadmap and being involved in backend team processes such as code review.Our goal as a company is to create an extremely simple and straightforward product in an industry (Financial Planning and Analysis, FP) that deals with complex data and modeling. We are looking for hardworking and intelligent individuals, whose humility, communication skills, and general demeanor make them great teammates.#LI-RemoteResponsibilitiesBuild new functionality as outlined in Cube's roadmapDevelop backend components to improve responsiveness and overall performanceAble to create database schemas that represent and support business processesStrong unit test and debugging skillsRequirementsExperience writing scalable code using Python 3 and DjangoUnderstanding of MySQL and relational databasesExperience with Redis or caching technologiesKnowledge of background processing technologies like CeleryAdditionalAWS infrastructure tools and systems exposure a plusExperience writing user facing APIs would be beneficial
