Python Developer - Horizontal Risk Technology

Python Contractor - Horizontal Risk Team - Green-Field Project - Investment Bank

I am working with a leading Investment Bank that has an interesting green-field project in Market Risk. I am required to build a scrum of highly skilled Python Developers that will join the Horizontal Risk Technology Team.

The primary focus of the team is building scalable risk reporting and generation tools for use across the business globally, mainly focusing on regulatory reporting such as CCAR and VaR. End users include market risk management.

Key Requirements:

• Programming in Python (or equivalent/similar programming languages).
• with some C++ for high performance components.
• Understanding of grid/distributed/parallel/high performance computing concepts.
• Knowledge of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) or Equities products in pricing, risk and PNL domains.

Skills:

• Software development and testing, deployment and support using agile development methodologies
• Functioning as part of a high-performance team, working on high priority deliverables
• Solving real problems, and adding value to the business
• Communicating effectively with various stakeholders across technology and the business

IR35 Status: (Inside) Although SoW the bank is completely Inside IR35

Rate: Dependent on experience £600-900 approx

Contract Duration: Until end of year, (likely 1 year extensions)
