ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Provider Contracting Specialist to join our Medical Group Provider Compensation team.
**This is a remote position with quarterly on-site travel to Wilmington, DE for in-person meetings required.
In this role you will be responsible supporting the day to day operations of the Medical Group Provider Contracting function including support of initiation, drafting, review, revision, and execution. Serves as a resource related to various contract tracking including CME, stipends, and other types of one-time payments commencing at the onset of employment. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding all things related to provider contracting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Helps support the full contract lifecycle management of all Medical Group Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians. Assists with Independent Contractor arrangement contracting as needed.
- Supports the Provider Contracts Manager in initiation and follow through of all new Physician contracts, renewals and amendments.
- Executes on all systems related contracting needs, including the processing of Workday rate and FTE changes.Â
- Partners to pro-actively review and manage expiring contract deadlines to allow for timely renewal.
- Processes, tracks, and validates Provider retention bonuses, loan repayments and stipends for all Providers within the Medical Group
- Works collaboratively with Medical Group leadership and Provider Compensation to calculate, validate and process all Provider incentives.
- In partnership with Contract Manager, Process State Loan Repayment and Internal Loan repayment program and track eligibility
- Manages CME tracking, including organizing team of reviewers and updating tracking sheets.
- Serves as the main department contact for questions related to CME, and any employment agreement questions.
- Assists the Manager of Provider Contracts in tracking and resolving open contracting items and issues, including timely communication with business stakeholders to drive accountability with provider contracts.
- Collaborates with Provider Compensation team to ensure accurate processing/review of provider special pay, moonlighting and any relevant one-time payments.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and relationships with office staff, physicians and other departments within Christiana Care.
- Works collaboratively with the leadership of the Medical Group to assure that high quality, efficient care is provided in the most cost-effective manner.
- Ensures confidentiality on all internal matters relating to the Provider Compensation Department
- Ensures compliance to all internal and external policies and procedures that are applicable to provider contracting
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
- Reports to the Provider Contract Manager in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
- Minimum of two years contract or financial management experience, preferably in a Healthcare setting.
