Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry. This is a permanent position that offers a hybrid remote work model, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of our team. As a Property Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our real estate portfolio, ensuring that all accounting functions are performed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
• Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure that all financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP accounting principles.
• Manage and maintain the Yardi accounting software system, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
• Experience using Yardi accounting software or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
