Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project
  • Early identification of risk, identification of remediation strategies, and timely engagement of project stakeholders in risk mitigation
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Translates concepts into practice
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
  • Reviews work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Forecasts and plans resource requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and or equivalent education and work experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with SDLC, preferably Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets, and making data-driven analytical decisions
  • Must have PMP certification at time of hire, or within 12 months of hire.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage relationships across a large enterprise and influence, cross-functional teams, without formal authority
  • Six Sigma knowledge, terminology, and/ or experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
