Job Description

Global leader in food processing is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee a specialized sprinkler system project at their facility in Dodge City, Kansas
This is a contract opportunity
FM-Global risk assessments happen here annually. Historically, they have repeatedly said we need to add fire sprinklers to various locations.
While building a system in the past year to protect a Hydraulic Power Room, these are the major highlights:
So, where I want to start from is I will give you my "vision" of the sprinkler system, as complete as I can make it. Some things will be "black boxes" at this stage. I will be willing to put things into whatever format works best for you to use for the next parts.
The deliverable I need to get back is a nice, tidy bid package: Stamped drawings and material to show FM-Global to prove we're building a good system and a RFQ package (IFB drawing set, scope, bill of matl, etc) to send to vendors and contractors.
There would need to be some bid phase support and advice, then maybe some RFI support as we build it.
If you guys can some up with the magic bullet, single point of contact to make everything happen in one house, that would be good, but I can go whatever way works best.
The areas we want to tackle in the near-term are:
1 Ground Beef Combo Storage
1A Ground Beef Combo Loadout

Here's the actual words from FM-Global:

Further information:

-Surveys over long time periods (weeks) show that temps thru-out this area often drop below 40F, and even below 32F occasionally.
=>we're going with a dry-pipe, interlocked, pre-action system.
-Calculations show that we're going to need a ton of water for these areas, on the order of 1500gpm
-Since there are two rooms, I split it up into two systems.
-There are no existing sprinkler systems nearby. I think the best choice is to tap our underground fire-main outside the Ground Beef Bldg and run an 8in supply line into the GB Room to supply these systems.
-I've listed the Tyco RED-E Pre-Act cabinet as our controls, but I'm not married to that system.

Next location will be similar, but is not as fully developed, yet.
