Project Manager (Remote)

A New Jersey-based professional services firm has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Project Manager. In this role, the Project Manager (Remote) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and deliverables for the project, including developing and maintaining project schedules and dependencies, defining and managing project scope, identifying and tracking risks, issues, and decisions, as well as providing timely, accurate, and relevant progress updates (status reporting).

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager (Remote) will

• Work with stakeholders to define project scope, features and functions; manage approvals for scope changes
• Build project charters to establish scope & approach, resource and budget estimates
• Coordinate with workstream leads to compile resource estimates to achieve the workstream deliverables
• Ensure adherence to program governance, keeping program leadership and stakeholders informed
• Collaborate with program leadership, and workstream leads to mitigate risks, issues, escalations (resource challenges, delays to delivery)
• Facilitate program team meetings and business stakeholder meetings
• Partner with workstream leads, stakeholders and other teams members to deliver on scope, schedule, budget and quality
• Develop and manage detailed project plans that outline all deliverables, activities and milestones required to successfully deliver the project
• Identify, track and communicate issues, risks, decisions, and actions for the project; escalate to leadership as needed
• Provide help needed by workstream team members to complete their assigned tasks
• Identify and manage workstream dependencies and remove obstacles preventing workstream progress
• Participate in weekly program planning, change control and risk review meetings
• Develop and maintain a resource plan (program level, workstream level)
• Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiencies and overall successful collaboration within the program

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience managing large multifaceted global projects, with a heavy focus on large scale software development implementations
• Previous experience with Project Management, including full lifecycle software development and Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated experience implementing ServiceNow platform
• Experience with Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management tools (e.g. Clarizen, Planview, ServiceNow, Clarity, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• PMI, ITIL, abd.ir Agile Scrum certifications
• Experience with GRC and CSM modules
