Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Project Manager. As a Project Manager you will lead Commercial & Residential Appliance Projects from start to finish and ensure they are completed to customer's satisfaction. Daily responsibilities include gathering data and spec information, generating quotes, helping customers identify the best products, and partnering with vendors, internal partners, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and in budget. This role offers hybrid remote flexibility and oversees projects in the Northern California area, from Salinas to Santa Rosa & Livermore (60 mile radius from San Francisco). As a Hybrid role, this will require the incumbent to be based in the Northern California, Bay Area and have the ability to travel and meet with customers and contractors in-person, as needed. Initial training will be office based, and has the flexibility to be based in multiple CA office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Completes appliance project work and leads all aspects of a project, from start to finish, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements, and perform calculations.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Work closely with Sales team to ensure accuracy in quote, submittal and coordinate buyout
  • Use and maintain Excel files, updates Summary and Tracker, Manages orders.
  • Develop knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers by working closely with more experienced brand/product managers.
  • Recommend products and services that fit well with clients' business needs.
  • Responsible for ordering product to ensure products are ADA compliant and meets all California code requirements
  • Lead execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology according to established project plan.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Coordinate installation and delivery and hold installers accountable for the quality and completion of the information, pictures, and delivered/not delivered items.
  • Work closely with Project Coordinator on final mile, punch list, warranty and close out for major appliance projects.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment.


Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of construction sales, project management, or project coordinator experience, required
  • Prior experience with appliances, highly preferred
  • PMP certification, a huge plus
  • Knowledge of California building codes, preferred
  • Experience managing project timelines and client / vendor relationships to ensure timelines are met, required
  • Knowledge of construction project cycle, preferred
  • Experience reading blueprints, building plans or drawings, highly preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems, required
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups, required
  • Ability to function optimally without daily oversight from management.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple, urgent requests
  • Proven organization skills, attention to detail, and time management
