San Marcos, TX Texas State University Programmer Analyst II Job Number 2021061 Location San Marcos Department MobileWeb Systems Recruitment Type Open to All Job Type Full-Time Monthly Salary Commensurate with experience Job Category Exempt Required Qualifications Familiarity with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, etc) Experience with the architecture and development of a robust server-side API Understanding of databases and how they relate to the development of web and mobile applications Basic understanding of web andor mobile accessibility Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript Ability to translate non-technical feature requests into technical requirements Experience with a distributed source control system such as git Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of React andor React-Native Experience with GraphQL Native iOS or Android development experience Familiarity with Apple and Android app store submission process Ability to use Docker to develop and deploy applications Strong understanding of TypeScript Experience giving and receiving feedback on code Job Description Overview We are hiring a software developer with experience in TypeScript and a single page application framework such as React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc. This individual will divide their time between supporting and maintaining our existing applications and contributing to the development of new applications. About You We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the relationship between a client application and an API. You should be familiar with how to write a web application using a modern framework. The right candidate will be able to solve problems in a self-directed manner. Most importantly you should be comfortable in an environment where you can freely give and receive feedback while developing APIs, data structures, and writing HTML and CSS. The assignment does not have to be complete prior to the interview. This is a remote-friendly position with a somewhat flexible Monday-Friday, 8a-5p work schedule.
