Job Description

Splunk is growing rapidly worldwide - we're hiring self-starters who want to help top companies take on huge challenges by turning data into answers. At Splunk, your skills won't go stale. Work with people you like while building, selling, and supporting products people love. As a Program Manager in Sales Engineering at Splunk, you will help craft and implement a robust Preparedness and Service Delivery strategy for our rapidly growing Global Shared Services (GSS) organization.

What you enjoy:

Generating ideas quickly is your nature, and you see what works and what doesn't in a big picture view. Your goal-oriented approach allows you to adjust your strategy as needed to meet results. You have no fear of wearing many hats. In fact, you like hats very much.

You do your best work in a highly collaborative environment, and you are excited to work with a small, fast-moving, and sophisticated team affecting global change. Seeing projects through makes you happy.

* As a dedicated and steadfast project leader and orchestrator, you are independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results no matter the challenge. You "get stuff done!"
* Equally comfortable solving problems through technology, or through operational excellence, you know when to employ the right tactic.
* You are comfortable working with spreadsheets, various analytics and organizational tools; you may even use these for projects in your personal life. (and you're proud of it!)

Where you shine:

* You're an excellent writer and communicator, an outstanding storyteller, and you love the craft of documentation. Your communication skills shine across platforms, whether proposals, articles, emails, presentations, webinars, or in person.
* You proactively identify gaps and develop solutions. You are comfortable figuring things out and being resourceful to meet your goals.
* As a people person you love to engage at a strategic level with executives and peers. Understanding what makes people tick, and you know how to connect with their thoughtfulness and passions, and how to move them to action.

What you do: I want to and can do that!

* Lead and coordinate the end-to-end program management of strategic, high-profile programs in a multi-functional, time-sensitive environment.
* Compose inspiring narrative proposals; build crucial communications, using internal design and communication resources as needed.
* Represent your business unit in meetings, special events, speaking engagements, and other events to help build awareness and foster relationships.
* Collaborate with executive leadership and key business partners serving as the core spokesperson for the program.
* Help identify project/program bottlenecks and proactively communicate and supervise resolution.
* Handle project budgets - including initial estimation, tracking of actuals, and understanding variances.

What you bring:

* 10-15 years of work experience in any industry where the work reflects the "What you enjoy" section.
* Successful management of programs, projects, events, or anything that requires multiple plates spinning in the air and the ability to explain what you need from stakeholders
* Meeting and exceeding success criteria in your previous roles -- be prepared to discuss this
