Description Your Opportunity New Relic is looking for a Program Manager to join the Observability team. Program Managers at New Relic increase the effectiveness of the products, projects and teams they work with. Our program managers achieve this by working across three areas of focus:Leading large, cross-functional initiatives, optimizing for shortest timelines with maximum reasonable scope. Facilitating alignment, decision making, collaboration and communication both inside our project teams and with our partners across the company.Driving quarterly planning & measuring performance across the entire group. Coordinating dependencies on other groups, Identifying & resolving execution issuesOptimize group operations. In partnership with our Product Operations team, implement ceremonies and processes that minimize overhead but solicit the right information from the team at the right time.What You'll DoProgram Managers perform a wide range of activities to support their teams and partners. Successful program managers at New Relic use their leadership and facilitation skills to actively influence their area of focus for the best possible outcomes for the business. This involves:Running meetings to strategize on scope, timeline, and tactical executionCommunicating priorities and ensuring teams execute against themDocumenting the problem statement, success criteria, proposed solution and work tracks for any given initiativeEngaging with liaisons in other parts of the company to ensure our partnership sets them up for successTracking progress and health of OKRs, roadmap items, and operational hygieneWorking with your leadership team to solve challenges, refine group operations, and roll out any changes to the team.Your QualificationsMust-haves:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading and delivering complex, modern software development projects alongside product and engineering teams.Experience working with sales, support and marketing to bring a product to marketProficient at crafting detailed project plans in partnership with project leads and stakeholders, and communicating prioritiesWorking knowledge of agile development and OKR frameworksDeftness in addressing both small and large audiences of varied disciplines.Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including tools like Github, Figma and/or SketchExceptional asynchronous and real-time communication skillsProficiency in tools like: JIRA, Slack, Google Suite, Aha or similar roadmapping/planning toolPrevious experience working in a SaaS business modelNice-to-haves:Experience with New Relic's productsFormal or informal Computer Science educationPrevious experience in a consulting environmentPlease note that this position is not available for visa sponsorship.We're looking for bold and passionate people to be a part of our mission to create more perfect software.
