An entertainment organization in New York City has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Product Owner (SmartTV / Roku). In this role, the Product Owner (SmartTV / Roku) will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders and be responsible for ensuring that the Scrum team delivers value to the customer.
Responsibilities: The Product Owner (SmartTV / Roku) will:
- Write user stories and ensure that the user value, context, and acceptance criteria are clear and testable
- Initiate conversations with the team and stakeholders for any work that needs to be carried out by the team
- Participate in all key Scrum ceremonies - refinement, planning, retro, and review
- Set and represent the sprint goal of the team and communicate it to the stakeholders
- Answer any questions posed by the development team and provide guidance, as needed
- Clarifies / answers any open questions around a story, task or bug so that it can be worked on
- Ensure that the team is aligned and focused on delivering value
- Carry out user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback to the team
- Provide a consistent overview of customer value that was delivered for a given unit of work
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, QA and Design teams on key initiatives during all phases of the project delivery
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications: - 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Solid business and technology skills (e.g. Agile, software development lifecycle, product ownership/management)
- A proven track records of managing Digital Development projects
- Familiarity with Apps ecosystems (Mobile, OTT, Smart TV)
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
