About The Role

As the Product Marketing, you will be responsible for putting the MARKET into the go-to-market. This means creating unique positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation that sets Brivo apart in a crowded and growing market. You will sit in a critical spot between product management, sales and marketing and will own the responsibility for telling compelling market-driven stories about what we do and how it solves customers, and channel partners, problems. Responsible for getting Brivo into more opportunities and be positioned to close more business. The Product Marketing Manager is not only a hands-on position but also a strategic contributor providing insights and recommendations at the product, market and competitive level.

In this role, you will also be expected to:

A little bit of everything from managing product launches, creating messaging, tracking competitors and market trends, developing content and nailing sales enablement. The compelling thing about being a Product Marketing Manager is that every day is different. In this role, you will touch almost every part of the business. Responsibilities will include:

Evangelizing Product and Services:
  • Build product and portfolio messaging that communicates the vision and value of our products that set new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling proposition
  • Craft compelling messages and content for marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns, website) to promote our products, services and brand
  • Create content such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts and work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement strategies
Bring Product and Services to Market
  • Understand routes to market (direct, indirect, 3rd party ecosystem) and develop product messaging strategy and go to market plans that adapt to all potential revenue streams
  • Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products and brief internal teams about new products (sales, marketing, PR, etc.) and go to market priorities and initiatives to drive demand
  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user and create buyer personas based on target audience decision-makers and influencers
  • Create product presentations for new clients and well as existing customers for upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for the development of new products with product management, engineering or manufacturing departments
  • Research and recommend packaging and pricing strategies for new and existing products
  • Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences
  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers
Know Your Customer, Competition and the Market
  • Conduct ongoing analysis into customers' usage of current products, untapped opportunities and tweaks to buyer and influencer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data
  • Follow and analyze market trends to position products and develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launching) for the business
  • Conduct market research to stay top of industry, competitors and channel partners and share insights with internal teams and develop recommendations on changes to strategic direction based on insights
  • Research competitor offerings and develop competitive messaging for sales, marketing and others to use in campaign materials and in sales conversation
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative market research projects including user testing, messaging tests, in-depth interviews and others to help gain insight into products and markets
About You
  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Product Managers, Brand Manager or similar role
  • Must be an excellent writer for multiple channels and applications
  • Background in design and copywriting is a plus
  • Experience in market analysis and competitive research
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and creative
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
