DNV Renewables and Power Grids group is seeking a talented Product Manager to help craft the vision and own the strategic roadmap for one of our core internal software platforms. In this role, you'll engage directly with top experts in the renewable energy industry to understand areas of opportunity, develop cohesive products with internal and external partners, and delight our customers with unsurpassed results and solutions. You will serve as the voice of the customer through the product development lifecycle as we develop digital solutions and features that drive engagement and retention. This is a high-profile role where your contributions will have a direct impact across multiple service areas within our company as we support the energy transition and accelerate the deployment of renewables worldwide.

They will be as comfortable digging into the details of a problem as they are with presenting their findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders. This person will seek and appreciate multiple perspectives and will regularly interact with a broad range of users to uncover the common threads that connect their needs.
Ideally this position will be located within our San Diego/Oakland, CA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Medford, MA, Austin/Houston/Dallas, TX markets; however, other remote locations may also be considered.
This role offers flexible schedules and remote or hybrid work environments.

The energy transition will require an unprecedented scale-up of energy generation from solar, wind, and energy storage. We're at the forefront of this transition, and we provide developers, investors, and manufacturers with independent expertise in the areas of energy modeling, equipment reviews, grid connection, permitting, and system design. What You'll Do
Establish the long-term vision and maintain the strategic roadmap
Ensure alignment with strategy, share progress towards goals, and celebrate accomplishments
Proactively engage with internal customers to uncover unmet needs
Promote and be a champion for your product to increase adoption, usage, participation, and awareness
Leverage feedback and other data to support prioritization decisions
Ensure that the right problems are identified by looking beyond the superficial
Develop prototypes, design, and run experiments, share learnings, and rapidly iterate
What is Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent 6 years product management practical experience
Minimum 3 years of product management experience with software platforms or products
Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving elements from the product development lifecycle
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel, up to 5% of the time
What is Preferred
Data science, analytics, energy, business, or technology background
Experience developing, working with, and integrating APIs
Experience analyzing data (structured and unstructured)
Experience with roadmap software (we use Aha!), Azure DevOps / JIRA, and data visualization tools
Experience developing prototypes and running experiments
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and reach agreement without direct authority

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $140,000USD.
