Position SummaryThe Product Manager is a strategic role. It's a role that crosses all boundaries within the organization and is largely inwardly focused. Product Managers work more closely with Development on features but are also market focused, identifying business opportunities and ROI.This includes:Understanding of market needs, client requirements and competitive analysisDaily interaction and collaboration with agile development teamSupport of product roadmaps and regular status updates with IT, sales, and senior managementProvide clear direction on requirements for products and go-to-market activity within the managed product portfolioEngagement of Voice of the Customer throughout the product lifecycleEssential Functions:Managing product lifecycle activity for a set of statistical data products Translating market understandings into compelling product requirementsConduct research and analyze data on product positioning, pricing and revenue, competitor products and services, and market trends to identify and recommend product enhancement and development opportunitiesSupport, create and maintain product business plan(s) and roadmapsDrive a consistently high level of quality and ingenuity in detailed product management deliverables (e.g. business cases, marketing requirements, compliance documents, pricing, sales tools)Utilizing Voice of the Customer throughout the product lifecycle to discover and validate market feedback (both existing and future clients) and for win/loss analysisProvide sales support presentations, demos, RFI/RFP responses, and development of relevant collateral (e.g., product brochures, data sheets, white papers, case studies, etc.)Set priorities and provide direction to Agile development teamsFormal Training/Education:Bachelor degree requiredExperience:Requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, and/or sales in a marketing information, services or technology companyStrong understanding of automotive market, products and solutions Proven solid track record in utilizing analytical tools, metrics and models for both new product introductions and assisting new innovationsStrong understanding of Agile software practicesProven experience with business intelligence software.
