We are seeking a future leader with insurance product management experience for a Product Development role. The position includes responsibility for creating new advancements to current Homeowners products, expansion into high-risk segments, and the development of new products. The candidate would report to a Manager in New Product Development. The High-Risk Group Pricing and Product Associate is part of the New Product Development team and will work with Catastrophe Management, Predictive Modeling, Product Management, and Information Technology to implement new products and product innovations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to interact with a variety of business and process leaders in the organization (Actuarial, Product Management, Government Affairs, Compliance, IT Leadership, Partner Management, Operations, Claims, etc.) and the broader American Family community. Job Description: Primary Roles and Responsibilities: High-Risk Group Product Development: Implement new products and expansion into non-traditional, higher risk segments of the insurance market;. Research the insurance market for lucrative expansion opportunities;. Leverage both modeled outputs and competitive intelligence to develop and price products;. Create recommendations on how to adjust products to better fit our partners and customers;. Design tools to assist in managing high risk portfolios. Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience, ideally including work in Property & Casualty insurance; Experience working in Excess and Surplus Lines, other high risk insurance products, or property preferred but not required;. Educational Credentials: A bachelor's degree and quantitative analytical knowledge is required; a graduate degree, CAS designation or CPCU designation is preferred, but not required;. Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter who can identify business opportunities, develop a product plan to capitalize on those opportunities, and successfully implement the plan;. Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses;.
