SMX is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support SOCPAC OCS & Acquisition Programs to include the technical assistance and synchronization of acquisition programs (e.g., contract administration, contract personnel accountability, land lease coordination & tracking, and Operational Contracting Support (OCS) planning) from the Logistics Support Facility in Sembawang, Singapore.
This position requires a DoD Secret clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Government in drafting procurement package documentation Consolidate SOCPAC requirements and service descriptions
- Assist the Government in maintaining a current by name list of contractor personnel, ensuring the Government has an accurate list of names of those in SOCPAC work spaces
- Monitor acquisition policies and policy changes regarding service contracting and assist the Government in ensuring consistency between DoD, SOCOM, PACOM and SOCPAC policies Report new & existing policies and assist in coordinating implementation Provide research, guidance and draft SOCPAC policy on DoD-mandated service contract regulations for Government approval
- Assist with developing SOCPAC contract progress reports The report shall synopsize funds committed, funds obligated and funds paid at year-to-date basis
- Assist with managing quarterly requirement review boards and staff updates (meeting scheduling, information collecting, presentation development, action item tracking, and minutes development)
- Assist with synchronizing funding and contract estimates Retrieve cost and acquisition timelines from contract agencies
- Work with NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka, Site Singapore for submission of Statements of Requirements (SOW) and MIPR submissions
- Provide weekly update to the Director and Deputy Director LSF on current status of contracting support requirements
- CONUS, OCONUS and Overseas travel may be required
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years’ military experience
- Has or have had a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Contracting Level I certification
- Microsoft Word and excel proficient
- Experience with contracting programs and systems; to include PROTRACK and Funding Document Manager (FDM)
- Required Clearance: Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
