Our agency, Remote VA PH, is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team remotely.

The ideal candidate has a combination of leadership skills, product knowledge, industry savvy, and prior experience overseeing the daily workflow, budget, and schedules of the purchasing department as well as in the food industry and dealing with USA suppliers

WORK SCHEDULE: 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Standard Time (Monday - Friday)


  • Vendor relations, sourcing, and researching new products.
  • Manage inventory – Identify the company needs around equipment, materials, and products.  Ensure supplies are available to the business at all times. Maintain knowledge of what inventory is available. Review, analyze, and anticipate what is needed by the customer and the company.
  • Develop and maintain policies – Report on market conditions and cost reports. Create purchase orders and requisitions as needed for all supplies. Establish guidelines for purchasing and contract management. Organize the removal of unneeded materials.
  • Provide maintenance and administration –  Evaluate and award incoming purchasing bids, grants, and requests. Address issues with vendors, contractors, and suppliers as they arise.  Devise efficient recordkeeping systems of inventory.


  • Proven experience in purchasing including sourcing and researching new products.
  • Must have experience in the food industry and dealing with USA suppliers
  • Previous experience in establishing vendor relations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and strong attention to detail
  • Solid ability to meet all deadlines in an organized and timely manner
  • Can start ASAP and willing to work with a time tracker.
  • Looking for a stable and long-term job.
