The Cardiac and Vascular Group brings all of our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe.Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.We are looking for a talented Principal Level DevSecOps Engineer for our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division. This engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining DevSecOps continuous test, integration, deployment, and operational platforms, and to continuously look for opportunities to evolve our security practices.Day in the Life Build and configure security detection capabilities specific to an application Perform security assessments including vulnerability and risk assessments, and threat analysis Manage and triage security issues and patches Work both independently and alongside Security Architecture teams to improve security and adhere to compliance requirements Introduce with help of Operations relevant static/dynamic code analysis tools for later handling of all detected issues Utilize test driven development practices to develop secure, scalable, highly available, and self-healing cloud infrastructure environments that leverage cloud native services Execute DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and maintain consistent environments across critical applications Ensure application security using pipelines Collaborate with development teams and internal stakeholders to specify operational characteristics and support of complex infrastructure Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to identify new technologies and tools to utilize on a go forward basis Troubleshoot network and performance issues in large scale distributed systems Drive change through new technology adoption and re-engineering where necessary to support continuous improvement #CRMSoftwareMust Have: Minimum Requirements B.S./B.A.in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceSpecialized Knowledge Required: Working knowledge of Cloud provider security monitoring tools - Guard Duty, AWS Inspector, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center Working knowledge of infrastructure protection technologies - AWS Shield, WAF, Security, Azure DDos Protection, application gateway, azure firewall Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages like Terraform or Ansible Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, etc. from the perspective of a SIEM Working knowledge of security technologies in a large, distributed, containerized environment; RBAC, SAML, Kerberos, Ranger policies Hands-on experience in deploying and operating infrastructure components in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Cloud. Hands-on experience developing dashboards/alerting via CSP native and ELK tools Programming expertise - can write scripts from scratch in Python, bash or similar language Experience managing cloud scalability or a mission critical environment Experience with version control systems such as BitBucket or Azure DevOps Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker on AWS and Azure Experience with RASP solution such as Contrast, static analysis tools and their use in a development lifecycle such as Coverity or SonarQube, Experience working in an Agile team setting Experience working with a secure software development lifecycle Experience working with open source security tools like Black Duck or WhiteSource Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Knowledge of securing continuous delivery pipelinesNice to Have: DevSecOps Engineer Certification Experience in deploying/managing software to on-premises, co-located, cloud, and hybrid cloud Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD automation processes & pipelines Hands-on experience with 'Big Data' technologies like Kafka, Elastic, hBase/Hadoop, Ambari Well-developed social skills to build alliances around DevOps goals and accelerate processes Excellent attitude and aptitude with demonstrated strategic mindset that can drive changeAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
