About our Marketing Team

Our Marketing team is small, collaborative and nimble - and is keenly focused on using key business metrics to track results. Our overarching goals are to increase brand awareness for SearchStax, to drive lead generation for our sales team and to produce the tools that enable our revenue teams to be successful.

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Content Specialist to own content at SearchStax. You will be a crucial player in our organic growth and lead generation goals. You will become an expert in SearchStax products as well as our ideal customer, target personas, their problems and how we can solve them - and then write content to connect with that audience across all stages of the buyer s journey.

How You ll Make an Impact

  • Create high quality content for our website, blog and social media platforms
  • Repurpose existing pieces of content into multiple assets
  • Research, pitch, outline and create differentiated downloadable assets, such as eBooks, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, video scripts, etc.
  • Understand how to find and analyze industry data to create data-driven content
  • Contribute to lead generation goals through a variety of content deliverables
  • Ensure that SEO strategies are being implemented effectively based on direction from the Digital Marketing Manager/SEO consultant
  • Gain an understanding of SearchStax s ideal customer and target audience, and ensure all content speaks to the intended audience and strikes the right tone of voice
  • Communicate and collaborate with all team/project stakeholders and lead all content creation
  • Keep up to date with content marketing trends and propose new ideas for us to test as a team


  • 3+ years professional experience in content creation for a B2B SaaS company
  • Bachelor s degree in journalism, marketing, communications or other related field
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • A knack for writing engaging content that drives lead generation and conversions
  • Experience with writing for SEO, including search engine ranking factors
  • A good understanding of the buyer s journey and content requirements across all stages, including awareness, consideration and conversion
  • Proactive communication style and skill at driving projects to completion
  • Confidence to collaborate with team members across SearchStax to improve content
  • Ability to manage your own timelines and meet deadlines consistently
  • Familiarity with Apache Solr or other search software is a plus
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Sitecore, Drupal, Acquia or Adobe Experience Manager is a plus
