SUMMARY

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the daily collection of contract associate timecards, using internal company accounting software while ensuring contract associate's hours are accurate. The Payroll Specialist will also provide customer service to internal and external customers regarding timecard inquires and differences or issues that may arise.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection of employee's time.
  • Verification of the accuracy of employee's time.
  • Input of employee time into the payroll system (Ceridian Dayforce)
  • Production of and distribution of accounts receivable invoices and employee payroll checks.
  • Verification and payment of employee holiday and vacation pay.
  • Resolution of employee questions and problems associated with payroll checks.
  • Pull employee hours from multiple websites each week
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School diploma

Experience

  • 5 years' work experience in payroll processing.
  • 1-year experience in a high-volume payroll environment.

Skills

  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups of people and routinely produce positive outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees.
  • Proficient computer skills required (Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word).


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce payroll system (or similar e.g. ADP WorkforceNow, Paycom, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Processing employment verifications and garnishments
  • Experience working in Great Plains (GP)


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently sits, walks, and stands.
  • May be required to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work area is usually low.
