Payroll Specialist (Remote)

Vaco is hiring for 5 remote Payroll Specialists for a great client of ours headquartered in Phoenix. Our client is growing exponentially and these are direct hire positions with medical benefits. The roles are remote payroll specialists even after Covid; this role will require work every other weekend at this point (with Thursdays and Fridays off when you work a weekend).

Salary? $18-21/hour - Direct hire

Job Duties:

• Prepare and process payroll for multi-location and multiple states
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities
• Reconcile payroll to general ledger
• Prepare payroll journal entries
• Responsible for payroll systems maintenance
• Maintain employee leave balances, benefit payroll deductions, and garnishments
• Review quarterly payroll tax reports for federal and multiple states
• Comply with local, state and federal payroll regulations and respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma required 2 or 4 year degree preferred
• ADP experience a plus
• Hands-on experience in a corporate payroll environment
• Skilled in MS Excel
• Thorough understanding of payroll processing, procedures, and payroll tax reports
• At least 3 years of experience processing payroll
