AI Summary

Proactively reach out to hesitant or inactive patients to guide them toward informed treatment decisions and long-term care journeys. Act as a subject matter expert to remove logistical and informational barriers while adhering to strict clinical and regulatory protocols.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to define a new role at the forefront of patient outreach. We're looking for a bridge-builder: someone who blends a genuine empathy for the patient experience with the disciplined, proactive application of sales-forward principles in a clinical context.

You will be an expert guide, with the goal of becoming an expert point of contact for patients. The bulk of your day will be spent reaching out, not waiting for enquiries to come in. You'll be the trusted voice that contacts patients at the moments that matter most: when they're hesitating before starting treatment, when they've gone quiet, or when they're at risk of dropping off their treatment plan. Using evidence-based information and real product expertise, you'll guide them toward informed, confident decisions about their care — and help one-off enquiries become long-term treatment journeys.

You can follow detailed clinical and regulatory instructions with precision, but you also have the commercial instinct to recognise when a patient needs a nudge, clearer education, or a better explanation to stay on track. You're comfortable picking up the phone first, you don't shy away from a difficult conversation, and you bring warmth and curiosity to every interaction.

You thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving problems, and know how to bring energy and standards to a team delivering exceptional patient care.

Please note, this is a 12-month FTC where you will be engaged as an independent contractor.

What you’ll do

  • Proactive Outreach: Most of your week will be spent initiating conversations — calling and emailing patients who are hesitating, have gone quiet, or are at risk of dropping off, and guiding them toward an informed decision about their treatment.

  • Consultative Support: Act as a Subject Matter Expert on our treatments. Move past scripted answers to deliver clear, reassuring, evidence-based guidance — whether the patient came to you or you came to them.

  • Unblocking Hesitancy: Remove the barriers that keep patients from starting or continuing treatment — whether logistical (shipping, scheduling) or informational (doubt, fear, misinformation).

  • Disciplined Execution & Adherence: Follow clinical, operational, and regulatory protocols precisely, while still finding engaging, human ways to communicate within them.

  • Feedback Loop: Be the ears of the company. Spot patterns in why patients hesitate and feed those insights back so we keep improving the patient experience.

Working pattern

  • Shifts can start as early as 9:00 SAST and finish as late as 23:00 SAST.

  • You'll work at minimum one weekend day (Saturday OR Sunday) every other week.

  • Requires reliable, uninterrupted internet and power, and access to own laptop.

Who you are

  • Comfort with proactive outreach. You're confident initiating calls and emails to patients you haven't spoken to before — including those who are sceptical, hesitant, or have ignored previous attempts.

  • Strong process discipline: you master workflows rather than improvising around them, especially where clinical accuracy and regulatory compliance matter.

  • A growth mindset: you seek out feedback, flag your own mistakes, and look for ways to sharpen your performance.

  • Composure under pressure: comfortable with rejection, frustrated patients, and fast-changing priorities.

  • Experience: Prior background in high-touch patient or customer communication, consultative sales, or outbound healthcare/wellness roles.

How you'll show up

  • Think big. You don't just answer the query - you resolve the hesitation behind it. You understand how each conversation ties back to patient outcomes, retention, and the business.

  • Move fast. You're proactive, not reactive. You don't wait for patients to ask the right question - you anticipate it and reach out first.

  • 1% better: You crave feedback on your approach and constantly refine how you communicate to serve patients better. Where you see gaps, you proactively address.
