Lions VisionGift is a non-profit organization founded in 1975 by Lions Clubs of Oregon, which recognized the need for an eye bank to provide ocular tissue for transplants, research and medical education.
Since its inception, over 60,000 people have received the gift of sight from tissue procured and screened by Lions VisionGift, which works closely with transplant surgeons. Additionally, ocular tissues have been utilized for valuable research projects and surgical training.

LVG has an opening for a challenging and rewarding full-time Donation Specialist I position. The Donation Specialist is responsible for receiving and screening tissue donation referrals from a variety of sources in a call center setting. This position works closely with families of donors to obtain authorization and medical/social histories and facilitate the donation process.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are compassionate problem solvers with excellent customer service skills who believe strongly in, and support, tissue donation. The Donation Specialist position can be difficult but is extremely rewarding. Giving families a choice in a situation that is beyond their control helps creates a bridge between loss and hope. Your work ensures that our donor families' loved ones live on, and that other people can live a better life.

Starting Pay: $18.20/hour plus shift differentials for nights and weekends.
There will be a signing bonus of $500 for this position. This bonus will be paid in 2 installments, $250 after 3 months of hire and $250 at 12 months. This signing bonus is taxable, and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld.
