Provides a centralized point of leadership for coordination and execution of face to face, digital and hybrid events/programs within a team so that operational excellence results with all program operations. Balances a workload of event management projects, along with people management. Work with the collective event management team and direct reports to maximize contribution margin by effectively managing the customer experience, balancing customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and organizational cost. Primary Responsibilities 50% - Client Success Designer Act as the Client Success Designer for all programs assigned. Responsibilities include project & experience management of assigned programs, relationship management and financial management. 50% - Team management and leadership Provide mentorship and coaching to the team for all areas of Event Management across all markets and all event types. Manages workload of direct reports. Coordinates and facilitates regular team meetings and communications. Identifies individual and group training/learning opportunities for direct reports as well as ongoing performance coaching and goal setting. Identifies opportunities for ROIs on an ongoing basis. Responsible for accurate labor, time tracking and T&E within the team. Assists in the development and implementation of short, mid and long-term initiatives to address business goals. Provides expertise with regards to destination, hotel and organization/internal services. Support new initiatives & processes within company and EM. Responsible for invoicing approvals. Education or Equivalent Work Experience Required/Preferred: Required Type of Degree: Bach. Degree Area of Study (Optional) Years of Experience 4 – 6 years Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Meeting, Events and/or Incentive Travel pre-sale and/or post-sale activities required. 2. 1-2 years of proven supervisory and/or leadership experience. 3. Global travel/hospitality industry experience and knowledge desirable. 4. Strong organization, motivation, and communication skills to manage multiple teams. 5. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; internal, client, and partner. 6. Understanding of Experience Design and ability to articulate how previous events have achieved business objectives and guest impressions is a plus. 7. Experience working with and/or exposure to budgets preferred. 8. Designations such as PMP (Professional Meeting Planner), CMP (Certified Meeting Planner), CIS, CITP, HMCC, DES certification desired.
