Role
Are you passionate about cutting edge technology and like to influence and lead teams? Are you a SME when it comes to Observability? If you answered yes to these questions, we have a role for you! In this role you will work with Splunk's core field sales team and help drive revenue and close deals within the Observability space throughout the Americas.
Responsibilities

  • Help with product positing and get cross functional stakeholder alignment, ensure market readiness, prepare messaging sales deck, generate awareness
  • Work with core field sales teams as an overlay
  • Work with Senior Leadership in GTM/Sales Theater Leaders to drive success in Observability for our field teams and customers.
  • Align with Observability GTM partners in Product Management, PMM, SE, Evangelist/Advocacy to enable effective communication of the DevOps & IT Ops strategy and roadmap to both Internal and External partners/customers.
  • Work with the Theater Observability Sales leaders & sales teams to help identify, define and promote Observability sales standard methodologies.
  • Evangelist Contribution of blogs, whitepapers, webinars, presence at Splunk events etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Monitoring/Operations space pre/post sales
  • Expertise in the landscape of operations and development tools
  • Successfully close 6 figure deals in this space
  • Strong cloud knowledge and modern application architecture (micro-services).
  • Experience in NPI, Product Marketing, Sales Overlay etc.
  • Previous experience as a practitioner and hands on technical chops within the space is a must.
  • Experience sourcing and defining patterns and trends from field sales teams and theater leaders and helped increase sales engagement process
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and MBA a plus
