The Clinical Analyst will provide software design, implementation, testing and ongoing support of the electronic health record system.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides workflow and direct application support within the electronic health record system
  • Works with other IT areas to coordinate support of the electronic health record application system
  • Identifies, develops and provides guidance for the training and continuing education needs of all AHN staff relative to the use of the electronic medical records system
  • Builds and maintains system and practice templates, ensuring standardization and appropriate security (including HIPAA requirements) throughout all AHN practices
  • Creates and modifies EHR software application
  • Implements and maintains devices that integrate with EHR software application
  • Serves as a liaison between the practices and the software vendor on problem resolution
  • Performs quality assurance testing of systems to ensure client satisfaction through problem definition, prioritization, analysis, and resolution
  • Maintains current information and documentation regarding software changes and enhancements to ensure continued provision of the highest level of service to our members
  • Provides other technical support as requested
  • Communicates issues, resolutions and best practices to team members, administration, and super users
  • Maintains project status updates and communicate updates to management
  • Acts as a liaison between AHN and practices for the electronic health record system
  • Performs testing of upgrades to system as provided by software vendor, and ensure that users are updated and trained on new functionality
  • Performs upgrades to medication list or other related updates as provided by EMR vendor
  • Provides implementation support
  • Travels to remote offices or vendor sites as needed
  • Analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server database software, Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
  • Knowledge of company initiatives and how they relate to the electronic health record application system

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or, High School Diploma/GED and 4 additional years of experience as stated in each bullet point below
  • 3+ years of experience supporting, configuring, and development NextGen software with a strong understanding of database structures
  • 2+ years of experience modifying templates and/or documents in an EHR or EMR
  • 2+ years of experience using SQL
  • Experience working as an individual contributor and as part as a team
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EPIC
  • Experience using NextGen
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Crystal Reports
  • Solid communication skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
