Fortinet/Cisco Network Support Admin/Engineering

Level 2 and Level 3 Resources Needed

2 Positions open - (1) level 2, (1) level 3
6 months to 1 year plus extensions - contract engagement
Remote but ideally local to NY/NY area - (Piscataway and NYC locations)

Job Summary:

  • Manage and support network infrastructure including Cisco and Fortinet.
  • Management and monitoring of Network platforms
  • Development and deployment of automation and integration tools
  • Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation and technical troubleshooting
  • Work with business units to identify and mitigate process inefficiencies

Required Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to work independently without micromanagement
  • Experience with network security products and concepts, primarily with Cisco and the Fortinet product suites.
  • Hands-on experience with network and security appliance configuration and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SD-WAN
  • Knowledge of network and security design concepts and best practices
  • Knowledge of API and application interoperability concepts
  • Experience with coding, scripting, and automation concepts
  • Experience in customer facing technical support roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CNA/CCNP certification
  • Fortinet certification or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Design, Network Security or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience with network design and deployment concepts
  • 3-5 years of experience with customer technical support
  • Experience with scripting, coding and automation platforms such as Python, JavaScript or similar.
  • Deploying/managing at scale (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
