Job Description

About the teamAs a part of the Zillow Home Loans team, you will provide best-in-class customer service to help home shoppers become homeowners! The Loan Processing team reviews loan file documentation (i.e. credit, employment, income, and assets) within a Mortgage Loan being processed, directs all efforts related to driving the fulfillment of loans from the point of submission for Initial Underwriting Decision to Final Approval.You will review documents and data integrity to ensure each loan is eligible, and that the borrower qualifies for the specified loan program (Conventional, FHA, USDA-RD, or VA), before submitting the loan for underwriting. You'll also update key data points into the loan origination software (LOS) and point of sale system (POS) in a timely and efficient manner.About the roleYou Will Get To:Maintain and update loan data records in the LOS/POS and various file progress reportsExpertly maintain a minimum pipeline of files in various stages of the loan processEnsure that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and aligns with company policyEffectively communicate with Loan Originators and Underwriters to document and complete loan file for underwriting submission(s) while working towards a full underwriting approvalWork with third-parties such as credit reporting agencies, Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs), title companies, employers, landlords, etc. to minimize the cycle time from conditional to final approvalBrief customers appropriately of new document or information requirements via that customer portal with the POSMaintain company service level and turn-time standards; specific measurables include return-call times, return-email times, and task completion times, and percentage of files that can be determined at first UW submittalProvide support as necessary to facilitate the origination and fulfillment of mortgage loansWork closely with Closers to document file adequately for closing consummationThis role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions.
