Medical Records Coder

PART TIME - 40 HOURS PER PAY - REMOTE

Position Qualifications:

· ICD-9, CPT4, APC, and Modifier education; CCS, CPC, RHIT or RHIA preferred.

· Previous coding experience preferred, will train with appropriate coding education.

· Previous computer experience required.

· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Needs organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

· Assertive personality to present facts succinctly and directly to physicians and other healthcare providers. Flexible approach to problem solving.

· Sitting and reviewing charts most of the time. Concurrent work requires going from floor to floor. Able to determine principal diagnosis, secondary, DRG, CPT, Modifier assignment.
