About ZigZag Global

We are Returns! We’re an award-winning eCommerce returns business founded in 2015 by our CEO, Al Gerrie. We live to push boundaries of smarter returns and we want a thriving retail world where every customer experience is both delightful and considered, everything we buy can be loved and re-loved and preserving our planet is part of the fabric of how we shop.

Today, more than 200 companies across 130 countries use our SaaS platform to help reduce the cost, friction, and impact of returns. Part of our leading Enterprise retail clients are Inditex (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, etc.), Superdry, Sports Direct, The Hut Group, Swarovski, not to forget the Whitelabel partnership with the world’s biggest logistics businesses like DHL, Evri, SkyNet and FedEx.

In March 2021, ZigZag was acquired by Global Blue, an industry leader in tax free shopping. Strengthening our reach across the global retail industry and allowing us to continue to do what we do best, help retailers manage and re-sell their returns.

At ZigZag, we embody a set of values that lies at the core of our workplace culture. Our dedication to the Start-up Spirit, Human Heart and Grown-up Mindset defines our collaborative spirit and shapes our collective success.

About the Marketing Team

At ZigZag we have big ambitions, and marketing needs to provide our engine for growth.  From creating demand to capturing demand, the role of Marketing at ZigZag Global is to build an environment in which retailers feel compelled to improve their returns experience.  We do this by close collaboration with product and commercial teams and by making ROI-based marketing decisions to maximize our impact.   We are the team that brings big ideas, analysis, market knowledge, and the drive to power ZigZag and our clients forward.

The Role

In addition to selling to Retailers, ZigZag’s also enables logistics providers in the retail industry like postal operators, carriers, and 3PLs to provide a world-class returns solution to their retailers by white labelling (w/l) ZigZag’s returns solutions as their own.   In this Marketing Manager role, you will be responsible for creating the marketing plan and activity to drive growth for ZigZag in this sector - this includes executing campaigns, digital marketing, events, email, content marketing and the creation of sales enablement material.

The buyer/decision maker for this role will often be a partner company of ZigZag within the retail logistics eco-system.   The successful candidate will benefit from ZigZag's established role at the heart of this ecosystem which means that a network of relationships is already in place.   This will help the candidate be successful against the key objectives – to drive demand from new partners and drive uptake from our partner’s retailer base.

The successful candidate will have B2B Marketing experience and ideally from the retail logistics sector.   Over-time this role will include marketing in ZigZag’s international markets to both retailers and w/l partners, and therefore an additional European language would be an advantage.

The role suits a self-motivated and upbeat team player, seeking the opportunity to make the post-purchase experience in retail a better, more sustainable experience that benefits logistics providers, retailers, and customers.

  • Continually refine and supplement ZigZag’s understanding of the relevant buyer personas by market / sector.
  • Build a library of case studies to help bring the value of ZigZag to life.
  • Ability to craft stories and create material that visually & narratively motivates buyers and 3rd party sellers to take action.

  • Utilize HubSpot marketing automation, workflows, and data analysis tools to track, improve, and scale up campaigns and measure performance and Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).

  • Plan and promote ZigZag attendance and sponsorship of events and webinars.
