Job Description

As a Marketing Campaign Analyst, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of customer data preparation to enable catalog binderies and the USPS to deliver catalogs to our customers. This includes the systems, data and processes that support catalog delivery as well as the creation of bindery instructions and auditing of the event itself ensuring the right customers receive the correct offer. Collaborate with other members of direct marketing and external service bureaus on up-stream (customer selection) and down-stream (catalog binding, delivery and database load) activities.
You will also be responsible for managing, facilitating and executing the process used to select customers to receive catalogs and other mailings. Customer selection involves selecting customers based on customer model scores using a software package called HCL Unica. You will also oversee pre-production testing and scheduling with minimal on-call duties.

Beyond the tasks required for scoring and selection, a Marketing Campaign Analyst also works on a variety of ad hoc requests and projects to support Direct Marketing initiatives, and the testing and implementation of software version upgrades.

Requirements

- Design and execute customer selection campaigns in HCL Unica or similar CRM software
- Create production plans and communicate to internal and external cross-functional teams
- Build mail files and send to binderies for processing
- Ensure standards and procedures for all aspects of catalog delivery to customers and stores are met
- Maintain vendor relationships with our printers and binderies and the merge/purge and sortation software vendors
- Act as a liaison between the paper purchasing and creative production departments
- Maintain production calendar with key dates for planning and execution teams
- Submit jobs to create backend data for planners

Qualifications

- Proficient in HCL Unica Campaign design or the proven ability to master new software quickly
- Experience in a variety of computer systems, particularly those used to monitor, edit and audit production environments such as TSO and OPSWISE
- Experience with WS-FTP and UltraEdit or similar software would also be helpful
- Skilled in the use of PC, Client/Server and Mainframe software and applications with the ability to find, manipulate and analyze data from a broad range of internal and external sources
- A working knowledge of JCL, SQL, EZTRIEVE+ and SAS or another data retrieval and analysis programs and the willingness and ability to learn SAS
- An understanding of system environments including system tables, config files and mapping
- Experience in planning and executing tests of new or upgraded programs, software and environments
- Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a penchant for high-quality, accurate work
- Accurate, clear and concise, written and oral communication skills; experience in flowcharting complicated processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment; a willingness to actively explore new ideas and accept different opinions
- Must be a team player with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to efficiently operate independently, operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
