About the position:
As a Software Engineering Manager/Sr. Software Engineering Manager at G-P you will build and lead teams of engineers. You will provide technical and leadership guidance to these teams to build G-P Products in collaboration with Product, Architecture and other functional teams. This role will report to a Director of Software Engineering.
What you'll do:
- Build the team by attracting and hiring talented engineers who continue to raise talent standards in G-P.
- Provide leadership mentoring and coaching to the team members where each of them can grow both technically and personally.
- Provide technical leadership to the team where you drive and participate in discovery, solutioning and design exercises.
- Collaborate with Product owners, Architects, Engineering leadership and peers in building the roadmap for your teams.
- Create and drive the detailed planning, scheduling and execution of roadmap plans to meeting business objectives
- Help innovate and inculcate best development practices ranging from developer efficiency, testing strategies, design practices, security, etc
- Champion G-P Culture and our mission.
What weβre looking for:
- Solid software engineering background, with 10+ years of experience developing enterprise-scale web/cloud-based commercial software products.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience leading complex software development projects through all phases of the software development life cycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong experience with both back-end and front-end technologies β Java, Spring, Node.js, React, HTML, CSS, REST, GraphQL, SQL, etc.
- Strong knowledge of modern cloud architectures and technologies. Experience with AWS is a plus.
- Experience integrating with external systems. Specific experience integrating with Acumatica and Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Capable of working with ambiguous requirements and minimal direction.
