Keep reading.This position is available for Remote Candidates across the United States.ABOUT THE POSITION: The Manager, Solution Architects - Emerging Services (Interaction Studio/Enterprise Personalization)leads a team that focuses on Enterprise-level technical strategy, solution design and build work. Solution Architects are experienced consultants and are depended on by our customers for technical vision and proactive and strategic advice.RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of an overall delivery team to deliver a legendary customer experience on Salesforce solutions Focus on large Enterprise scale customers as both a Lead SA but also as the manager of additional Enterprise Solution Architects. This role will guide processes and standards across Enterprise-level projects. Be comfortable learning new technologies with different levels of support / enablement. Emerging Services team members, and especially managers, will be learning tools often times at the same time as they are implementing, consulting, and teaching others. Manage a team of 3-7 solution architects with varying degrees of experience. This is a critical role that is tasked with the health, happiness and effectiveness of their team. Provide career guidance, helping employees to identify and work towards career goals. Set and manage performance expectations with the team. Assist with project staffing, ensuring the workload of the team is balanced. Onboard and train new team members. Managers carry a billable workload as well, performing the same duties as a solution architect: Lead consultative engagements with customers on business goals and challenges. Architect a detailed solution tailored to customers' goals, taking into account their current and future-state environment. Effectively communicate and present the design, positive impacts, and limitations of proposed solutions to customers. Approach each customer as a unique, ensuring that their environment, skill set, internal processes, and business structure are accounted for in overall designs. Build and fully test the solutions as designed, working with customers to iterate through modifications and revisions. Document design and/or maintenance processes as necessary. Provide in-depth training as appropriate to ensure customers are self-sustaining. Support sales teams in opportunities by validating solutions and estimating effort. Collaborate with other team members to validate solutions, solve technical challenges, and share knowledge. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Average of 10% travel, up to 25%, to client locations throughout the U.S. Perform other duties required and assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Ability to understand the diverse personalities of the team and to manage each team member in a way that is best for them. Comfort having tough or sensitive conversations around workload, expectations, and areas of improvement. Ability to balance the needs of a team with the needs of clients. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and jump in to lead. Managers must know how and/or where to find information by being highly resourceful. Managers should be on the front line of learning so they can assist and teach others. Managers should be experienced at a level similar to a Senior Solution Architect: Experience with Salesforce CRM (sales/service clouds) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly preferred. Experience leading enterprise projects covering data flows, data integration, and identity resolution. Understanding of CDP concepts and experience with personalization tools. Experience going deep into clients' current processes to fully understand the nature of their business, while identifying how and why their business goals are critical. Experience developing technical solutions and designs tailored to each client, based on their business goals and overall structure. Solid abilities to create technical solutions across a majority of applicable languages (focus on JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL) Ability to coordinate with other roles to distribute work, review deliverables, and ensure quality solutions are built with optimal value. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent strategic and technical thinking. Ability to be a confident and strong consultant even when there is a lack of knowledge or clarity around a given subject. Ability to be very flexible. Managers need to know when to experiment with new methods and how to turn experiments into scalable processes. Ability to keep a balance between scaled solutions without over-engineering. Ability to work effectively across multiple concurrent customer engagements with minimal supervision. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead customer-facing discussions and presentations. Strong creative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
