Management Consultant Intern - Akron, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Phoenix, or Remote (Finance)Arcadis is currently searching for Management Consultant Interns to join our world-class firm for Summer 2021. This position could be in one of the several offices we have in the United States, including Atlanta, Cincinnati, Akron, or Phoenix. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national and global teams.Opportunities and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assess, develop, and support a variety of management consulting projects including performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, vulnerability, and mitigation assessments, as well as planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities' water/wastewater/stormwater facilities. Support the team in tasks ranging from general fieldwork to technical office work. Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, sampling, water quality analyses, technology evaluations, and plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization (dependent on location). Assist in technical writing which may include preparation of technical reports, business development support, presentations, and other audiovisual materials. Work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally. Manage multiple concurrent projects with multiple deadlines, ensuring completion per project budgets and timelines. Desired Skills/ Attributes Reliable, client-focused, and capable of working independently under the supervision of project managers. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, organization skills, and work ethic. Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team. Ability to balance and address new challenges as they arise and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks. Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater. Required Qualifications: Upperclassmen currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline). Preferred Qualifications: Previous management consulting experience. Prior internship experience with an engineering consulting firm or a municipal water/wastewater utility. Graduate student pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline). Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
