Life Insurance Underwriter

Location: REMOTE
Rate: $35-40/hour
Terms: 6+ month contract
Benefits: Health Insurance, 401k, and paid Holidays
Day in the Life:
Manual life insurance underwriting to come up with table ratings
Provides timely service on cases to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met
Provides sound underwriting judgement on all cases to ensure mortality objectives are met
Provide signing authority up to $1 million
Adheres to regulatory requirements
Collect, review, and analyze applicant's relevant history and records
Obtain additional applicant information to determine coverage needs
Offer recommendations on whether or not to approve an application
Evaluate claims for accuracy and coverage amount
Qualifications:
Industry coursework/designations (FALU, FLMI, CLU, etc.)
Involvement with local, regional, and/or national underwriting organizations
