Job Title: Legal Lien Negotiator

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, U.S. Business Hours
Salary: $1,000 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Legal Lien Negotiator to handle the negotiation and resolution of medical liens, subrogation claims, and other financial obligations related to legal settlements. The ideal candidate has experience working with attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies to reduce lien amounts and maximize client settlements. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of lien resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze liens from medical providers, government agencies, and insurance companies.
  • Negotiate lien reductions with healthcare providers, insurance adjusters, and lienholders.
  • Communicate with attorneys to provide updates on lien resolution and case status.
  • Prepare and submit lien reduction requests, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
  • Verify and validate lien amounts against medical bills and insurance claims.
  • Document all communications and negotiations in the case management system.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to lien resolution.
  • Track deadlines and follow up to expedite settlement processes.
  • Assist in case settlements by coordinating lien resolutions with attorneys and clients.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in lien negotiation, personal injury law, medical billing, or a related legal/financial role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with experience handling high-volume lien negotiations.
  • Knowledge of personal injury law, medical liens, and subrogation claims.
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing, insurance claims, and settlement processes.
  • Proficiency in case management software (Clio, MyCase, Needles, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dispute inaccurate liens.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and Workers’ Compensation liens.
  • Background in legal, healthcare, or insurance industries.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical billing codes.
  • Experience working in personal injury or mass tort law firms.
