The Learning Experience Multimedia Specialist is responsible for creating engaging and high-quality multimedia content to enhance the educational experience for students and educators. This role involves close collaboration with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop multimedia materials that align with curriculum objectives and educational goals. 

Requirements

Duties And Responsibilities 

  • Develop and Produce Multimedia Content: Create videos, animations, interactive simulations, and graphic designs that support K-12 STEM curriculum. 
  • Collaboration: Work with instructional designers and subject matter experts to understand curriculum objectives and translate them into engaging multimedia experiences. 
  • Utilize Industry-Standard Software: Use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite to create high-quality multimedia content that adheres to educational standards and accessibility guidelines. 
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in educational multimedia to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our learning materials. 
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of multimedia production, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and finalization of projects. 

 

Education and Experience Needed 

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in multimedia development, preferably in K-12 education or STEM education. 
  • Experience working with accessibility guidelines and universal design to meet the needs of all users.  
  • Proficiency in multimedia authoring software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and other relevant tools. 
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and educational theories. 
  • Demonstrated portfolio of multimedia projects showcasing creativity, innovation, and alignment with educational objectives and accessibility guidelines.
