Job Description

World Shipping, Inc. is currently hiring a Lead UI / UX Developer to join our team here in Rocky River!

Our team is currently looking for a talented UI/UX designer that will provide the company with best and consolidated design across all of our current and future applications.

Main Responsibilities of a UI/UX Designer

  • Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups
  • Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
  • Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
  • Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams
  • Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience

Key Requirements

  • Prior experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio
  • Must have experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch, Balsamiq, XD.
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. We use Material-UI as our design component library for web applications
  • Ability to communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and key members of the team to understand requirements that will reflect in the applications.


  • High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred
