The Role

Korn Ferry Advance Coaches provide career advice to thousands of people at all levels and at all stages of their careers. Our career coaches, coupled with our mobile first, cutting-edge career transitions platform, provide an unparalleled level of support and rich user experience to deliver the support, action planning, and feedback to help individuals find and secure their next career move.

To provide flexible work opportunities and scale resources to meet the needs of Korn Ferrys clients we have created our Talent Ready Career Advisory Team. This team provides project-based opportunities in the outplacement space for career coaches who want to work in a flexible way.

Key Accountabilities

You will communicate and engage with clients through phone calls,online chat, video calls,social media platforms,email, and other similar channels.

Our career coaches help individuals find the next step in their careers. In this role, you will:

Provide personalized career advice through one-to-one career sessions (delivered virtually)
Support clients as they develop their skills and knowledge in finding their next role
Create an action plan to activate their job search
Help clients present themselves in the best light from reviewing their resume, social media profiles and preparing for job interviews
Work with clients to improve interview success by conducting mock interviews and providing feedback to support interview preparation
Encourage clients to leverage the rich content and benefits of our digital career transition platform
Increase client knowledge of the job market by sharing insights and materials
Keep good notes in the coaching portal

Skills & Experience

8 years total work experience in roles within business, marketing, technology, finance, and/or HR; 2-3 years coaching experience, career coaching preferred
Experience working with individuals in outplacement with deep knowledge of effective job search strategies
Empathetic, naturally curious, digitally minded, and client-focused
Motivational communicator both one-on-one with clients and group settings
Results-oriented with a strong work ethic; the ability to get things done.
Adept in using social media platforms, especially Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Flexible, responsive with the ability to work in a dynamic and geographically dispersed environment
Ability to effectively thrive, quickly adapt to change, and navigate within a matrixed corporate environment
Ability to flex your schedule to support the needs of our clients (7AM 7PM CDT)
Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred; ICF Coaching Certification highly desired
