About the Role

 

AECC is experiencing significant growth in line with the timely changes for students and our university and college partners around the world. As we expand our global footprint, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Officer who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the organization.

 

This role will be working remotely and reporting to the Management Accountant based in Melbourne, Australia to ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.

 

What Does This Opportunity Mean for You

 

  • Assist in managing and maintaining all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare invoices and send them to clients, ensuring that all invoices are accurate and complete, and that they are sent out on time
  • Reconcile all financial accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records
  • Support in prepare and managing budgets for the organization, ensuring that all expenses are within the budget and that any variances are identified and addressed
  • Assist with preparing the financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring that all reports are accurate and complete, and that they are submitted on time
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure that all payroll transactions are accurate and complete
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement


Skills and Attributes Required

 

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Accounts Officer or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
