As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be part of a talented Agile software development team performing DevSecOps.Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our soldiers.Serco supports the US Air Force as a sub for their DMAPS TAA - Powerbuilder Migration contract which is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to participate in the full Agile application development life cycle for new development design and testing of Java Web Applications, using Java Spring Boot, RESTful API, PostgreSQL, Apache Camel, Kafka, Angular, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, etc.You will be part of a team comprised of government and contractors that work closely with other Serco team members to deliver quality support. Our team has been recognized by the US Air Force Program as providing top quality services in support of the customers. In this Full Stack Java Developer role, you will:Work collaboratively as a full stack developer on Agile teams and have the ability to complete user stories and develop usable code independently with minimal oversight and guidance.Develop and manage development tasks in a fully automated CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins and Puppet.Perform development using Agile Scrum.Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contributes to acceptance/functional testing duties and part of incremental feature development.Adhere to, promotes, and maintain development standards and best practices, participates in regular code reviews.Assist development/test teams in activities with acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as required.Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.** Position is 100% remote & contingent on Prime Contractor approval **

To be successful in this Full Stack Java Developer roll, you will have:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or 4 years experience in Software Development.3 years of progressive Java development experience.2+ years of Agile experience.Must be able to pass a background investigation with the U.S. Air Force (Public Trust) to obtain a CAC cardDesired:Experience with Agile software development practices, developing RESTful microservicesJavaScript, Bootstrap, and React.Jira, Confluence, and Git or Git-based tools (e.g. Bitbucket).CSM or related Agile practitioner certification and/or SAFe Agile (strongly preferred).AWS and Azure development experience preferred.Jenkins, Puppet, Groovy Scripts, and Terraform experience preferred.Experience converting PowerBuilder programs to Java a plusCertifications: CISSP or CSSLP or the ability to achieve one within the year.If you are interested in supporting and working with the US Air Force and a passionate Serco team- then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
