Job Locations: US-VA-Smithfield US-IL-Lisle US-MO-Kansas City Your Opportunity: As part of the Global Applications & Operations team, the IT Tech Lead - ERP Administration role is responsible for successful implementation and support of NetWeaver systems supporting a variety of SAP functional environments. S/he is involved with day-to-day operations of production, quality, development, and test environments including ECC, BW, BI, EP, XI/PI, TM, HCM and other SAP landscapes. In addition, this role will also involve in administering JDEdwards landscapes. A successful candidate will have experience troubleshooting system performance problems and delivering new installations. Exposure to SAP BASIS in a variety of OS and Database environments is required. Hana and AWS experience is a plus.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Main responsibilities include facilitating and supporting the production SAP and application environment, installing new systems, help manager end to end upgrades, refreshes, patches, maintenance, etc.
  • Understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Participate in managing a complex landscape consisting of hosted SAP and JDEdwards systems.
  • Collaborate with hosting provider to perform -, Client Maintenance, Correction and Transport System (CTS), Online Service System (OSS), Client Copy, Archiving, Ticket administration.
  • Provide SAP BASIS technical expertise in the development and implementation of SAP solutions to support Companys business
  • Facilitate and oversee system maintenance calendar with hosting provider for all ERP (SAP, JDEdwards landscapes) along with 3rd party tools.
  • Perform core Basis functions, monitor and maintain SAP environments for optimum performance and be proactive in identifying potential problems (environments include Development, QA and Production).
  • SAP performance tuning and optimization Production System troubleshooting - SAP; HANA Database, MS SQL, End-to-end System SAP Refreshes including knowledge of database restore commands
  • Basic understanding of Portals and how to upgrade, tune and troubleshoot J2EE portals. Understand and administer transport Route setup; troubleshooting work with patch updates and system releases
  • Understand system interdependencies and collaborate with project teams accordingly.
  • Provides timely project status reporting and communications.

  • Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience with SAP BASIS management and handling operational responsibilities. Having other ERP systems such as JDE CNC, MS Dynamics is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.
  • Experience in administration of engagement activities (e.g., creation of charts/graphs and other reports, data entry, etc.) in support of work products is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SAP System installations; support for large variety of SAP Instance types (ECC, BW, PO, Java/ Portals, MDM, Solution Manager)
  • Basic knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles, including database and storage replication
  • Understanding of SAP HANA Database is preferred.
  • Understand of other ERP systems such as JDEdwards is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
