My client is involved within the government workflow operating within the safeguarding arena and protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.

About the role

As the Service Delivery Manager (Supplier Performance Manager), your primary responsibility will be to be accountable for ensuring Suppliers deliver against their contractual service obligations and service levels on behalf of the DBS Service Management Office. You will be the primary escalation point for 3rd Party IT Suppliers for your product area at a senior level.

As the Service Delivery Manager (Supplier Performance Manager), you will build relationships with suppliers and will deliver supplier management plans that comply with the organisation's Supplier Management Framework, which deliver value for money by taking responsibility for the management of the organisation's suppliers and ensure reporting and supplier performance data is robust and accurate. You will also:

Role responsibilities

  • Be responsible for actively managing a supplier portfolio ensuring all Supplier Management activities are completed on time, actions are tracked, any required contract changes requests are shared with the commercial team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to all Service Tower Suppliers for compliance, assurance, improvement and collaboration activities in line with DBS Standards
  • Manage complex working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and manage supplier performance risk.
  • Be producing and acting upon supplier management information, including Service Levels, performance KPIs and Performance reports to continually improve service quality.
  • Develop the Supplier Management & SIAM service in line with SIAM and ITIL principles, sharing any changes to process, service or improvement with your colleagues in the wider team and with the Tower Suppliers as required.



Role requirements

  • Service/continuous improvement experience working close with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Experience in completing contracts end-to-end with suppliers
  • A structured and logical approach to work
  • Defined and implemented IT Service Management toolsets
  • Previous experience of operating both Incident & Problem Management processes.
  • Previous experience of working closely with Supplier Incident & Problem teams understand and define their requirements from a Incident & Problem perspective.
  • Service management frameworks such as ITIL
  • Common service management platforms such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
