Position description This is a full time remote position within the United States. The Harwick Environment & Conversions Unit, within the AREA division, is looking for a highly motivated IT Lead Analyst/Programmer to join the Administrative Business Systems section. This position will be focused initially on the Harwick project and executing the goals of Harwick for Wave 1 and Wave 2, primarily for the ERP Tech Workstream which is responsible for executing on the technical components of the new Oracle ERP implementation. As Harwick priorities wind down, this position will transition into the future operational run support model. This position will initially be responsible for Harwick tasks such as: Overseeing small IT projects and driving IT tasks to completion while working collaboratively with other resources across IT, the project, and the section Basic project management and upkeep in the Jira work management tool ServiceNow setup and management including CMDB, reporting, assignment groups, etc. Participating in the IT Change Management process (signoffs, documentation, training others, etc.) Developing proposals via SBAR's or other documentation as needed As this position transitions into operations, it will have an even broader reach across the section and within IT. We see our Lead positions as the ideal steppingstone to being an IT Manager, as we set our Leads up with broader responsibilities (often across multiple teams, direct personnel responsibilities which include development of staff and career mentorship, shadowing on IT budgeting process, Clarity and ServiceNow reporting, staffing plans, etc.). Key qualities or experiences that will be beneficial for this role include: Agile process experience Mentorship and/or technical leadership Robust project management and organizational skills Proactive communication Ability to react to complex situations and escalate appropriately Ability to understand a technical problem at a high level, scope it, break it down into workable components, document, assign out the work to be done, and follow it through to completion Ability to understand, develop and maintain strong relationships with the business (in this case Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Finance) This Lead position will not be on a 24/7 on-call rotation but will be expected to act as an escalation point should critical issues arise. This is a full-time, remote position within the United States. Accountable for project results and goals set by senior Mayo leadership and provides updates to IT leaders on long-term goal attainment. Directly oversees the activities of the members of the team assigned to the development and maintenance of software-based systems in the supported areas. Provides leadership for the design or selection of solutions, creates and/or implements cross-functional project teams (intact or virtual), and brings together the hardware, software, and personnel responsibilities for implementing solutions to support a customer area. Develops proposals that consider alternatives and business case, and gains needed institutional approvals utilizing strong understanding of financial concepts, business processes, continuous improvement, and organizational development. Works effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders. Partners with customers to understand their business needs and insure the activities of the team meet their needs. Assists the Unit Head in personnel management and supervises staff on projects and assumes supervisory responsibilities for Unit/Division staff as assigned. Manages projects requiring substantial inter-organizational and intra-organizational coordination. Understands project management methodology and works effectively with Project Managers and the project management offices where appropriate. Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Mayo Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership. May serve on institutional committees as member, assistant secretary, or secretary. May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience including 3 years' of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associates degree and 9 years' experience including 3 years' demonstrated leadership experience. Additional qualifications Evidence of strong communication, organization, problem solving, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills including conflict resolution. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations. Some experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters degree in applicable field preferred. Weekend schedule Will not be required to participate in 24 x 7 on call rotation yet but may be required additional hours for Harwick project work to ensure project goals are met. Will need to act as an escalation point after hours upon go-live.
