Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking 6 Hardware Technicians to travel to Government Data Centers across the US for the installation and break/fix services of storage, server, and network hardware. Technicians will travel anywhere from 75-100% to CONUS locations. Technicians can sit anywhere in continental US. Hotel, airfare, and per diem is provided. All work is Mon-Fri, standard hours. A Top Secret Clearance with SCI is required.

Training to be provided for specific hardware equipment.

All Supplier Personnel retained for this service must be/have:

•Proficient with their communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

•Extremely organized, possess great record-keeping abilities, and a focused customer-oriented approach.

•Experience servicing High Performance Computing Solutions.

•Provide installation and break/fix support including component replacement, hardware, storage and network troubleshooting, and operating system installation (can involve software, OS, configuration, etc.)

•Familiar with using different computer applications/systems and be able to navigate software tools as required to perform day-to-day functions and troubleshooting.

•Solid understanding of different Operating Systems that may include MS, and Red Hat Linux.

•Experience required with SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Servers).

•Familiar with networking technologies.

•Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within IT infrastructure including High Performance Computing Systems, Servers, Storage and Networking.

•A minimum of 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DataCenter IT Operations environments.

•Perform operational management tasks including, working to resolve escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of datacenter support activities.

•Take action at customer location in accordance with the hardware reactive service level of the affected device and utilize the provided hardware recovery action plan(s).

•Ensure the dispatched activity (Install/Break-Fix) is complete before leaving Site. Must be able to execute diagnostics/test scripts and review output to ensure problem is resolved.

•Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

•Need to add verbiage around: Current/Electrical safety training

•Ability to provide informal end user training

•Valid Drivers License

INSTALLATION SERVICES:

For team members performing Installations the following skills are required:

Technical Service Skills include but are not limited to:

•Preferred Security +, Linux +, Network + or A+ Certification (Not required)

•Preferred experience with parallel or clustered file systems, system monitoring, job scheduler, cluster managers, high speed interconnects

•Experience in managing day to day issues and outages in partnership with hardware teams and the Government

•Experience installing, removing, deploying and servicing High Performance Computing products in an enterprise solution customer space

•Understanding of liquid cooled racks and cooling distribution units

BREAK-FIX AND REPAIR SERVICES

For team members performing break fix and repair service the following skills are required:

Technical Service Skills include but are not limited to:

•Provide technology service support to repair and recover customer system(s)

•Preferred Security +, Linux +, Network + or A+ Certification (Not required)

•Experience servicing High Performance Computing products in an enterprise solution customer space

•Preferred experience with parallel or clustered file systems, system monitoring, job scheduler, cluster managers, high speed interconnects

•Must follow action plans and work with HPE support teams until final resolution of customer issue(s)

•Experience managing day to day issues and outages in partnership with hardware team and the Government

•Exceptional experience in completing case and ticket updates in a timely manner and with detailed, accurate and meaningful content. Experience working with service desks, technical engineers and labs remotely to receive directions for troubleshooting, repair and return to service testing

•Understanding of liquid cooled racks and cooling distribution units
