What this Job Entails: Your Roles and Responsibilities: 3PL & Vendor Engagement: Forge and sustain strategic partnerships with 3PLs and vendors, optimizing inventory dynamics upstream in the supply chain. Supplier Performance: Design & implement KPIs & metrics to measure and report 3PL & vendors performance. Implement routine for reviews together with vendor parties. Functional Leadership: Guide the functional direction of the inventory management process, setting best practices, methodologies, and standards for the inventory team to adhere to. Advanced Inventory Strategy: Delve into intricate inventory challenges, crafting solutions to address stock imbalances, demand surges, and inventory turnover. Process Excellence: Pioneer continuous improvement projects, capitalizing on technology and industry best practices to fine-tune inventory operations. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams, 3PLs, and vendors to synchronize supply chain efforts and optimize inventory flows from end to end. Predictive Forecasting: Utilize sophisticated analytics to pre-empt stock needs, minimizing stockouts, wastage, and inventory holding overheads. Strategic Formulation: Develop and iterate on inventory management strategies that reflect the network specific per region, optimizing for user experience whilst holding efficient stock levels. Reporting & Deep Insights: Provide comprehensive and nuanced reports to upper management, presenting a clear picture of inventory performance, challenges, and potential areas of improvement. Vendor Relations: Engage actively in discussions and negotiations with vendors and suppliers, ensuring punctual deliveries and cost-effective sourcing. Regulatory Adherence: Uphold and promote adherence to international trade and inventory regulations, ensuring a compliant and seamless supply chain. Regulatory Adherence: Uphold and promote adherence to international trade and inventory regulations, ensuring a compliant and seamless supply chain Required Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a leading college or university in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage. A minimum of 5 years in inventory management, with demonstrable experience in shaping functional strategies and frameworks. Prior engagement with 3PLs is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different time zones and with various stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data Strong organization skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in SAP and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) systems, with hands-on experience in inventory management modules Familiarity with project management Physical Demand & Work Environment: Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment Must be able to use a computer Must have the ability to communicate effectively Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines. Aptitude for juggling diverse tasks and priorities in a high-paced environment, always with an eye for detail and deadlines.
