Your Impact
This position will assist the Tax Manager with all facets of global international tax. This role will have direct contact with the VP of Tax and under the direction of the Tax Manager, have oversight responsibility for substantially all aspects of global indirect tax.
What You'll Do
Work with our tax engine (Vertex), quoting and billing tool () and GL system (Dynamics 365) to confirm appropriate VAT/GST tax treatment of our foreign entity invoices (A/R and A/P)
Gather, analyze, and summarize information on a monthly and quarterly basis to be provided to outside consultants for foreign VAT/GST return preparation
Review returns once prepared by consultants
Oversee VAT/GST tax payment process for global entities
Manage all VAT/GST related balance sheet accounts on our GL including prepare all month-end close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Oversee all governmental and company related VAT/GST audits that arise
Maintain the foreign indirect tax calendar/task matrix for all foreign compliance duties and deadlines
Assist with indirect tax registrations in relevant tax jurisdictions
Proactively monitor and operate a robust internal control tax environment in compliance with SOX requirements
Assist with tax logic, create test scenarios and work with team related to system upgrades and new feature implementation
Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups.
Develop and Maintain working relationships outside the finance organization

What You Bring
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred, but not required
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the tax accounting profession, some portion in global indirect tax
Experience in the preparation of VAT/GST returns
Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneur spirit
Concern for quality and deadlines
Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 120,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 80,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 140,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
