Job Description

This is a fully remote assignment, however our client has requested that candidates be local to Southern California.


Our client is a fast-growing healthcare organization and the regional leader in their niche. Due to recent acquisitions and organic growth, they are seeking an Interim Director of Accounting on a fully remote basis.

*Duties & Responsibilities: *

· Directs the accounting, preparation, analysis and required filing of all relative financial statements and related data and exhibits for internal and external sources.

· Reviews, advises, counsels and participates actively concerning new systems developments and other systems related matters to ensure accuracy of all financial data.

· Manages relationships with cross functional and external parties, including providing education around accounting and financial architecture of the Company

· Ensures timely completion of accounting close process on a monthly and quarterly basis and compliance with regulatory requirements and company-established accounting policies and procedures

· Reviews and/or prepares various journal entries for monthly, quarterly and annual closing

· Performs technical accounting research and provides financial and accounting advice to internal stakeholders

· Manages special projects/assignments as advised by senior management.

· Manages PBC requests, questions, and other various items for year-end audit

· Reviews and implements improvements to fixed asset process (i.e. disposals, impairment, etc)

*Qualifications: *

· 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance related roles

· Advanced knowledge in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

· Relevant internal controls, consolidation and reporting experience in a corporate environment

· Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Excel skills required

· Strong adaptability, communication, time management, and analytical skills

· Strong ability to lead and develop teams

· Project management experience focusing on goals, actions, and positive results

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

· Experience with creating budgets/forecasts and performing analysis

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
