Overview:
SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking an Instructional Designer to support the development and implementation of engaging and effective learning solutions for employees. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to create impactful training content across various formats, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing employee performance.
What you’d be doing:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of diverse learning methods, including e-learning, instructor-led training, and multimedia content, while maintaining alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborating closely with the Senior Instructional Design Specialist to assess training needs and create content tailored to employee and organizational requirements.
- Supporting the application of instructional design principles and adult learning theories to ensure training solutions are engaging and effective.
- Contributing to the management of training programs and materials under the guidance of the Senior Instructional Design Specialist.
- Collecting and incorporating feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Learning about and helping integrate new technologies and trends in instructional design into training initiatives.
- Assisting in coordinating multiple training projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
- Supporting the creation of clear, concise instructional materials, such as guides, scripts, and presentation content, in collaboration with the senior team.
- Building collaborative relationships with team members and promoting a positive company culture.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, education, instructional design, or 2+ years of related experience.
- Familiarity with property and casualty insurance operations (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of managing and motivating teams or working in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to engage learners effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal abilities for building rapport and facilitating discussions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support training delivery.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and a moderate background in instructional design and multimedia content creation.
